I drew you a picture! But it fell on the floor And the dog ate it. I made you a painting! But it was drying on the chair And the cat walked on it. I picked you a flower! But a bee stung my hand and I dropped it. I wrote you a letter! But the mailman has it out for me And you never got it. I sang you a song! But a fly flew in my mouth And I couldn't finish the first verse. I wrote you a poem! But I sneezed while reciting it And I bit my tongue. I leaned in to kiss you! But I started to cough
and our foreheads clashed painful
